Launched by Joy Scadden and Helen Horsley, experienced early years and play work practitioners and assessors, SbS Training Centre is a fully approved training centre registered with CACHE.
Here we aim to provide top quality child care & management training which is accessible, flexible, individually tailored and available to all.
Our training objectives are to:

During an informal and friendly interview we will advise you which Early Years, Play Work or Training and Development qualification is right for you – it really depends on your work role and the setting you are in!
SbS Training Centre will provide you with all the training and assessment you need to achieve your award from highly qualified and experienced staff, designing tailored tutor sessions to suit your individual needs, and assign you a peripatetic assessor who will support and guide you through your qualification.
For total flexibility and high quality assessments we use an electronic portfolio pc-based management system which gives learners the means to manage their own portfolios, while enabling feedback from assessors or employers. Training and support to use this system is given during induction.
SbS assessors and tutors are very experienced – we have been providing top quality childcare and staff training in West Dorset for over thirteen years.
The course consists of peripatetic assessment, internal verification, and induction. For early years and play work qualifications we provide knowledge based workshops which will be agreed with your assessor to suit your learning needs.
Fees available on request – HOWEVER, dependant on meeting eligibility criteria you may qualify for help with fees through a range of funding sources.
